THEIR FIRST SCHOOL, MADE GENTLE.
School-readiness through play, not pressure. Your child arrives at their first big school curious, confident, and kind.
Choosing a first school feels enormous.
We remember.
This is the first time your child steps into a world you did not build for them. Here is how we make that step feel small and safe.
Readiness is not a test your child passes, it is something we build together, gently. Children start where they are. A psychologist-designed program meets each child at their own pace, by design.
Some mornings, at first, yes. Our phased settling-in starts with short, parent-accompanied visits and grows from there. And every child gets a concrete anchor: "Mama comes after story time." It works.
No lines of silent toddlers here. We run on learning through play and a shared classroom rhythm, what Dr. Chandak calls collective discipline, instead of long lists of rules and punishments.
Yes, and more than academically. She will arrive at big school able to handle her feelings, make friends, and stay curious, with academic foundations learned through exploration, so they actually stick.
Rhythm and real events, not clock hours
Young children thrive on tangible milestones, so our half-day runs as a sequence of familiar events. Parents get the same visual icons we use in class, so you can talk about the day in the same language at home.
The arrival transition
Your child hangs up their bag and places their name card on the Emotion Meter: happy, sleepy, wobbly, excited. Builds accountability and emotional awareness from minute one.
Morning greeting circle
A welcome song, a weather check, and a look at the visual timeline for the day. Builds a sense of belonging.
Independent discovery time
Children choose their own work: sensory play, practical life trays, or building. Builds cognitive focus and self-reliance.
Wash and snack time
Hands washed, containers opened independently, spills cleaned by small proud hands. Builds fine motor and practical life skills.
Outdoor and gross motor play
Running, climbing, jumping, and balancing on the barefoot sensory path. Regulates the nervous system through movement.
Story and mindfulness reset
A calming interactive story, then a two-minute chime breathing exercise to wind down. Teaches children to soothe their own bodies.
The secure return
Children pack their own bags and match the final icon on the wall to your arrival. Completes the daily cycle of trust.
The day deliberately alternates lively, social blocks with calm, grounded ones. That pacing is what prevents the mid-morning meltdown.
The four pillars, alive in the classroom
A cozy corner, not a time-out
When a child is overwhelmed, they are guided to a comfortable space with sensory tools, not punished. They practise resetting their own nervous system, the life skill behind emotional regulation.
Helpers, not just listeners
Children take on real responsibilities and are guided to solve their own small problems and conflicts. Mistakes are treated as tries. That is cognitive independence, built daily.
Friendship is on the curriculum
Sharing, collaborative play, and restorative conversations after disagreements are practised as deliberately as counting. Empathy is a skill, and we teach it.
Academics through curiosity
Letters and numbers arrive through exploration and play, using Dr. Chandak's developmentally grounded approach, so learning is remembered because it was wanted, not drilled.
Fill this in and we will reach out the same day to fix a time. A visit is free, unhurried, and you can ask us anything.
